Because of the wind storm hitting Scotland, I have moved all of my outdoor plant pots inside: ferns, heather, snowdrops, plenty of weeds and snails are all snuggled in safely.
I’m thinking of you in the wind off the Firth or the Forth or in from the highlands? It’s been minus 11C here in Toronto with wind chill of minus 20. But I bet it feels colder there. I love the word “draughty” which my English relatives used to describe frigid cold.
I admire your jello perseverance. Which is somehow an oxymoron. I still make red jello with sliced bananas and whipped cream, red and white for Canada Day.
Love the sensations of this. I had non-balancing fish mold experiences just like yours. And the flavour of your post just happened to be more enhanced this morning listening to Archie Fisher. Stay the storm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXWXlqY0_4A
My dad liked to cook. It was our family tradition to have fish for Christmas Eve dinner. One time he had the bright idea to make a jellied fish which ended up being whole cooked fish within clear gelatin. My sisters and I refused to eat it. Thinking back he must have been hurt by our reaction.
bombozine doesn’t have a voice box, some unbranded ted from a corner shop in small town canada, used to be a more blonde colour but time has turned him a porridge hue!
Your jelly made me think of the aspic meat dishes my mum used to prepare at Christmas, years ago, when we were all together in Romania. It looked grotesque with all the pig ears and fat, and it reeked of garlic, but I'd eat it nonetheless (and didn't hate its taste as much as I did how it looked)

Hugs to Ludwig He and Teddy will keep you warm.

great song, thank you! accompanying the windy day
Unrelated—do you have any audio recording of your work? I would especially love audio for the dolls alphabet.
Thank you!
the coiled serpent and children of paradise are on Spotify audiobooks! not one made of doll’s alphabet far as I know :)

It's wild out there, our front fence is down, and we've just been hunkering down inside.
Random but is that an AG bear? He used to have a voice box, a poor man's Teddy Ruxbin? I've got a very similar looking bear.

“Jelly is like the moon” - I might have to steal that. You have a beautiful way with words. Thank you for sharing this post
